Super Bowl Sunday…..and it all comes down to this. No, not the Colts and Saints but Picks4Players versus Maddux Sports, an epic clash between the little guy and the Darth Vader of Sports Handicapping

As a loyal Picks4Players follower you know that our goal is to help sway the football handicapping field in the direction of the player and away from the house. Utilizing our unique style and ever-improving system (patent pending) of interpreting what’s happening around the National Football League and more importantly how it will affect the games from week to week. In order to help validate our selections and independently document our success, your handicapping consulting partners here at Picks4Players have participated for the last two years in the National Handicapper’s Bowl as featured and promoted in Pro Football Weekly. This season is the 30th edition of the highly respected National Handicapper’s Bowl and your team here at P4P is the lone remaining competitor, out of more than 100 entrants, with a chance to upset 2 time NHB defending Champion Maddux Sports, one of the most followed pay for pick sites in the handicapping business. For a list of all entrants please go to: http://www.nhbowl.com/Participants.php and for the NHB standings please go to: http://www.nhbowl.com/Games.php
Of the hundred plus participants in the NHB, the vast majority are pay for pick sites, NOT Picks4Players. We never charge for our advice. Our picks are always F.R.E.E - FREE and while we are extremely pleased that we’ve clinched second place in the 30th version of this prestigious event, make no mistake about it, we’ve got first place in our sights, and we feel VERY strongly about what will go down in Super Bowl XLIV in Miami when Drew Brees, Kim Kardashian’s Bush, and the rest of the upstart New Orleans Saints take on title starved Peyton Manning and the primed and polished Indianapolis Colts, led by first year head coach, ‘Ol What’s His name. Actually, Coach Caldwell may finally be a suitable answer to that decades old cajun question, Who Dat? As in, Who dat coaching da Colts? I think we all know that Peyton Manning is coaching the Colts, but Jim Caldwell will be the guy standing on the Colts sidelines with the headset on and his red flag at the ready.
Kick off is slated for 6:25 pm EST and Las Vegas has set the line at the Colts - 5 1/2 with an OVER/UNDER point TOTAL of 57. As mentioned above, your team here at P4P feels VERY strong about the game today. After much research, dialogue, discussion, argument, and technical breakdown of personnel, we are so COnfident about what wilL go down Today ATS (against the spread) that we will once again, as promised, be giving our selection away for FREE.
This game will be one of the most exciting Super Bowls of all time. Peyton Manning is a QB genius and as football fans we are lucky that he plays now. He is clearly one of the best of all time and his fine tuned, precise offense will move the ball up and down the field today on the Saints. The Saints will also move the ball at will against the Colts and if Dwight Freeney is not 100%, his explosiveness off the snap of the ball and his ability to get around the edge and pressure Drew Brees will be limited. While we are certain which way this game will go against the spread (ATS), our lock of the day in Super Bowl XLIV is OVER 57.
Please check back frequently for any updates, alternate selections, and results. Please spread the word about Picks4Players and direct your friends to our site. Best of luck to all of our partners, the players out there. Thank you, from all of us at Picks4Players, for a great season. We look forward to training camp in July and the numerous mandatory OTA’s (optional team activities) in the off season as we gear up for the 2010-2011 NFL season, perhaps the last season not affected by the looming lack of a labor agreement.
Crit’s Quick Thoughts from the Throne-NBA Playoff opportunity 2night

While everyone has penned the Cavaliers and the Lakers into the finals, the NBA playoffs are filled with story lines within each series and your partners here at P4P are always looking for opportunities for you, the player. After Yao Ming, Aaron Brooks, Luis Scola and the rest of the Houston Rockets absolutely demolished the host Portland Trailblazers in Game 1 of the series, Crit couldn’t believe his eyes when he looked at this morning’s odds and saw Rip City was still favored by 5 1/2 points over the Rockets. Sure Houston is without T-Mac, but this veteran and worldly team is seasoned perfectly like a piece of the Colonel’s Fried Chicken (original recipe). They are built to execute in the half court around Yao which is what playoff basketball in the Association is all about and do not underestimate the return of Aaron Brooks to Oregon, his old College stomping grounds. Don’t get the Critster wrong though, he loves the Trailblazers and in particular Brandon Roy, but we just don’t see the Blazers winning by more than 3 or 4, if at all tonight. It will be a hard fought and scrappy game all the way down to the wire and the Blazers will need everything tonight to pull this one out in their final possession. This year’s version of the Rockets seem to be road tested, proven, and hungry to advance and Crit doesn’t envision them getting punked in Game 2 like Dallas did last night against San Antonio. Picks4Players feels strongly about this recommendation: Houston Rockets + 5 1/2
