Here are PICKS4PLAYERS BEST BETS for NFL week 12.
Our pick in BOLD
Jacksonville @ San Francisco (-3)
The Jaguars have yet to play a team with a winning record this year and now must travel west to face the 49ers. While both teams have solid run games, the Jaguars may struggle on the road passing the ball and we see the 49ers defense creating some short field opportunities and easy scores.
Chicago (+10) @ Minnesota
This is just too many points to give up to a divisional rival. The Bears should be able to move the ball through the air and score enough points to keep up with the Vikings, because both team will pass the ball. We also like OVER 47.
Seattle (-4) @ St. Louis
The Rams are an injury-riddled bunch, so Seattle should have their way with the Rams. The Rams will have a very tough time scoring TD’s which will give the Seahawks an easier time covering the 4.
Washington (+9) @ Philadelphia
The Redskins defense has played tough all year and we see no reason why they can’t keep this game close with an inconsistent Eagles offense. Neither team will be able to run the ball which will make play-action fakes much less effective, so throwing will be a challenge too.
Cleveland @ Cincinnati (-13)
The Bengals have just too much firepower for the weak Browns defense. We also see some shorts fields for the Bengals offense as the Brady Quinn led Browns will find the going tough all day against a strong Cincy defense.
Good luck to all the players out there today. Play wise, play smart, play on, Players!!

After a strong 3-1 performance ATS (Against the Spread) on Thursday and Friday in College Football, your partners here at Picks4Players see some great opportunities on the Saturday slate. We encourage you to play smart and, of course, for entertainment purposes only. With that being said;
Here are PICKS4PLAYERS BEST BETS in College Football for November 28th.
Again, after going 3-1 over the past 2 days, we have now gone 13-5 over the past 16 days in our college picks. Our advice continues to be absolutely “FREE,” so come ride this hot streak with us as there is always room on the P4P bandwagon.
Our pick in BOLD
SATURDAY’s SELECTIONS
Arkansas @ LSU (-3 ½)
Fans of the Bayou Bengals will have all day to get liquored up for this one, and the moonshine will be flowing. The key to this game is that LSU can stop what the Razorbacks can do best which is pass the ball. Look for an LSU double digit victory. Geaux Tigers!!!!!!!!
Notre Dame @ Stanford (-10)
This will be Charlie Weis’ swan song for the Fighting Irish. Toby Gerhart and company will use their dominating ground game to wear out a weak Irish defense and get the bad taste out of their mouths from the Big Game defeat against Cal. Look for Irish QB Jimmy ‘Punching Bag’ Clausen to have a nice statistical day against Stanford as he returns to his Northern California home turf, but even his intimidating new Darth Vader mask won’t be enough. Stanford cruises late.
UCLA @ USC (-13)
USC had 2 weeks to prepare for this one and we expect to play this game as if its for a national championship. The weak UCLA offense won’t be able to exploit the Trojan defense like some other offenses have. The USC defense will create some short fields to help Matt Barkley and company. We also like under 47 1/2.
Syracuse (+12 ½) @ U Conn
Coming off the big emotional win at Notre Dame, we see a letdown for the Huskies as they play the Orange. This will be a tight one all they way and it wouldn’t shock us to see the Orange pull it out. Syracuse QB and former Duke point guard Greg Paulus will be talking smack to UConn all day about the a$$ kicking Duke delivered to UConn last night in Basketball, and it will carry over to the gridiron today.
Georgia (+7) @ Georgia Tech
The Bulldogs might be the one team that has the speed in the front 7 to contain the potent Yellow Jacket running attack. Georgia’s disappointing season could be washed away with a victory here so look for them to fight hard all the way.
Check back Sunday for our NFl picks as we look to move up in the National Handicappers Bowl as seen in Pro Football Weekly.
Enjoy the Day Players and get revved up for the NFL tomorrow and Monday!
Thanksgiving Day in the National Football League
November 26, 2009 by Crit Dahippo · Leave a Comment
What a mediocre slate of games today in the NFL. Three games on tap today starting with the Packers at the Lions, followed by the Raiders and their ‘Commitment to Excrement’ travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys. The football festivities conclude with two of the NFL’s struggling franchises over the past month, as the NY Giants visit Denver to face the Broncos. Not a lot of dialogue here, just winners:
Game 1: Packers -11 1/2 @Detroit: Take OVER the TOTAL of 47 1/2- This will be a track meet and the Pack may well cover, but take the OVER.
Game 2: Dallas -13 1/2 Vs. The Raiders: Raiders road show is a horror flick. I don’t mean to seem like a Romosexual (not that there’s anything wrong with that) but look for Tony and the ‘boys to open up a can of whoop a$$ on the Raiders. Our Pick: Dallas -13 1/2.
Game 3: NY Giants - 6 1/2 @ Denver: Both teams are scuffling, but the Giants have actually won a game this month so they are favored on the road. 6 points though are too many here, take Denver and the points. Our Pick: Denver + 6
Happy Thanksgiving Players from your teammates here at Picks4Players.com

Here are PICKS4PLAYERS BEST BETS in College Football for November 26th & 27th.
Coming off a strong 5-2 week in our college picks, Picks4Players is ready to give you the edge for this Thursday and Friday in College Football. More rivalry games this week. Also, don’t forget your consulting team here at P4P, are in 3rd place in Pro Football Weekly’s National Handicappers Bowl. Follow our progress all season long at www.NHBowl.com.
Our picks in BOLD THURSDAY Texas @ Texas A&M (+22) The Aggies are looking to avenge last years 49-9 thumping by the Longhorns. The Aggies might have what it takes to at least keep this close until halftime. They feature a good ground game, which if used right, can control the clock and keep the ball out of Colt McCoy’s hands. We like getting more than 3 TD’s in this match up. FRIDAY Pittsburgh @ West Virginia (+2) Let’s face it, we just don’t trust Dave Wannstedt when he has a little prosperity, or at all for that matter. In this year’s edition of the Backyard Brawl, with West Virginia having the home crowd behind them, we see this as a close game throughout. The Mountaineers take control in the 4th quarter however, and win this outright. Alabama @ Auburn (+11 1/2) The Iron Bowl is one of college football’s greatest rivalries. Auburn was shutout last year so we see them with extra motivation this time around to avenge last year. Alabama just doesn’t have enough offense to blow out the Tigers this year. We like the home team getting points. Illinois @ Cincinnati (-18) The Bearcats welcome back QB Tony Pike to their Big East leading offense and combine that with one of the best defenses in the nation, we don’t think the Illini stand a chance. This game is the boat race of the day! Check back Saturday for more college picks.

Here are PICKS4PLAYERS BEST BETS for NFL week 11.
Our pick in BOLD
Pittsburgh (-10) @ Kansas City
Even without Troy Polamalu, Pittsburgh should meet little resistance from the Chiefs coming off their snooze fest against Oakland. No Dwayne Bowe, no Larry Johnson, no running game, no passing game, NO COVER for KC.
Indianapolis (-1 ½) @ Baltimore
Baltimore coming of a short week will have a hard time defending the red hot Colts offense. This line has moved a point and a half since Monday and with good reason. The Raven offense has not looked good the past few weeks and the defense does not seem to resemble the Raven defenses of yesteryear.
Atlanta @ NY Giants (-6 ½)
Atlanta seems to be a different team away from dome, going 1-4 on the year. They face a Giants team fresh of their BYE week and desperate. The Giants ground game will control the game and allow Manning to open up the passing lanes. Look for Ahmad Bradshaw to have a big first half and then watch Brandon Jacobs take over late as he punishes the Falcons’ LBs and DBs. This will be a solid, old-fashioned, workmanlike G-Men performance that will have their fan base thinking playoffs again, at least for the week.
Arizona @ St. Louis OVER 46
These teams feature two of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. Balls will be flying everywhere and hopefully the points too!
San Francisco @ Green Bay (-6 ½)
Green Bay throws the ball well and the 49ers can’t defend the pass, ranking 29th in the league. The Packers defense is better than most people think ranking 4th overall in yards given up. If the Packers get an early lead, this one won’t be close.
Buffalo (+9) @ Jacksonville
The Bills should come with a little extra motivation this week against a very suspect Jaguar squad. The Jags have yet to play a team with a winning record, yet only have a 4-4 record. This game won’t be pretty but the Bills will keep it close as everybody except for T.O. tries to make a good impression on their new coach in an effort to keep their jobs.
Don’t forget to go back and check your picks against our good buddy, the newest addition to the P4P team and Myth Busters in-house explosives expert, Sgt. JD Nelson, aka C4. See the posting titled He’s Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack….. for JD’s selections for this week and make sure to follow C4’s picks each Thursday at www.Picks4Players.com. Play on Players!!!
NCAA College Football Rivalry Weekend - November 21st, 2009
November 21, 2009 by Crit Dahippo · Leave a Comment
Here are PICKS4PLAYERS BEST BETS in College Football for November 21st.
As we head into the final few weeks of the college football season, your team at Picks4Players is ready to give you an edge as we handicap the games important to the bowl chase and those rivalries which make college football great! We have gone 10-6 over the past 2 weeks and look to stay on the winning side this week with the following picks. There is no single game that stands out to us this week so we view these as equal opportunities to fatten your account.
Our pick in BOLD
Mississippi State @ Arkansas (-11)
The Razorbacks are averaging over 50 points per game at home scoring over 150 points in their last 3 games. Mississippi State wiill be playing with a let down coming off of the Alabama game. With the offense clicking on all cylinders, look for Arkansas to use their potent passing attack to run away with this one.
Cal @ Stanford (-7)
The is the battle for the Stanford Axe and the Cardinal is playing this in revenge from last year’s drubbing. Stanford also has everything to play for including a shot at the Rose Bowl while the Golden Bears are just playing out the string. The Stanford offense is the difference in this one.
Ohio State (-12) @ Michigan
It doesn’t get much easier than this, the Wolverines defense is horrrrrrible and the Ohio State offense is clicking while the Buckeye defense has been dominant and Michigan’s offense sputters. This one could be a boat race.
LSU @ Mississippi (-4)
Ole Miss is chasing LSU in the standings and should be fired up to play their rivals to the west. LSU QB Jordan Jefferson is banged up and may not play which will limit an already weak LSU offense. The Rebels are playing with a cause, scoring over 40 points per game at home this year.
Kentucky (+9 1/2) @ Georgia
The Wildcats have won 4 of 5 and are playing some good football as they go “between the hedges” in Athens. Georgia’s offense will have to find some offense as they will be missing star WR A.J. Green. Look for this to be a low scoring game with Kentucky hanging close all the way.
Oregon @ Arizona OVER 60
Last year these 2 teams scored 100 points in a 55-45 game. We don’t think much has changed, as both these teams will not be able to stop the other on a fast track in the desert
Kansas @ Texas (-27)
Does anyone believe Kansas will be playing this with any emotion? They are playing to get their coach, ‘PacMan’ Mangino fired for cause, and for eating the team’s offensive coordinator. Texas QB Colt McCoy turns up the Heisman heat with 5 TD passes in a huge win.
Check back Sunday for our top NFL plays.
As always Players, enjoy the action, enjoy the day, play smart, and be responsible.
He’s Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!! Sergeant C4 and his explosive NFL picks along with G$’s NHL and Crit’s NCAA plays of the day

As our loyal followers know, we aim to please. You overloaded our server. We were listening and we heard you loud and clear. Making his return engagement, and through his agent agreeing in principle to a multi-week contract with Picks4Players, is none other than Myth Busters frequent guest contributor and the show’s resident explosives expert Sergeant JD Nelson, aka JD, aka Clark, but best known as Sergeant C4. C4 will be delivering his fireworks show via www.Picks4Players.com every Thursday for the remainder of the NFL season and playoffs. C4 specifically requested Thursdays so he could help protect and serve all the players out there. Whether it’s in the weekly office pool, for Thursday night Football, or really for any and all games on the NFL weekly slate, Sergent C4 wants to help you, ‘Take a bite out of the Line’. Enjoy his contributions as C4 is one of a kind.
In addition, in today’s update we are featuring G$’s razor sharp NHL play of the day as well as Crit ‘TheGreek’ Hippo’s NCAA Basketball lock of the night. We feel very strongly about our recommendations and hope they help enhance your enjoyment of tonight’s action as well as getting the NFL weekend kicked off right. As always, this advice is for entertainment purposes only!!!
With that being said, enjoy the post…..and here are C4’s NFL picks:
Alright this should be fun:
Miami +3 at Carolina. I’m not sold on Miami and Carolina keeps winning: Carolina -3
Cleveland +3 1/2 at Detroit. At least Detroit can score: Detroit -3 1/2
Buffalo +9 at Jacksonville. Jacksonville keeps winning and Buffalo has the curse of T.O. Jacksonwille -9
Pittsburgh -10 at KC. Pittsburgh should be in full pissed off mode: Pittsburgh -10
Indy -1 at Baltimore. I don’t think Indy will go undefeated but they’ll beat Baltimore. Indianapolis -1
Atlanta + 6 1/2 at NYG. Hoo boy- two teams that are hard to predict: Giants - 6 1/2
SF + 6 at GB. Alex Smith hasn’t proven he can will consistantly: Green Bay - 6
Seattle + 11 at Minnesota. Brett Farve has…. Minnesota - 11
Washington +12 at Dallas. Washington has life, Dallas should be pissed. Good rivalry game where Dallas wins….but not by 12..Washington + 12.
New Orleans - 11 1/2 at Tampa Bay. Does New Orleans ever cover? Tampa Bay +11 1/2
Arizona - 9 1/2 at St Louis. Warner is back the the STL…Arizona - 9 1/2
Jets = 10 1/2 at New England. Provided the Pats don’t go on 4th and 2 all game I’d take the Patriots. Patriots - 10 1/2
Cincinnati - 9 1/2 at Oakland. I thought the spread would be 17, so it’s a bargain at 9.5! Cincinnati - 9 1/2
San Diego at Denver -NO LINE. San Diego is hotter right now… Chargers
Philly - 2 at Chicago. The Bears are who we thought they were! Philly -2
Tennessee + 4 1/2 at Houston. The Titans are rolling! Tennessee + 4 1/2
HOCKEY ….and now here is G$’s NHL pick o’ the day. Columbus +115 @ Dallas. Dallas is playing back-to-back nights coming off a hard fought win @ Detroit last night. Columbus on the road is a respectable 5-4 while Dallas at home is only a .500 team.
COLLEGE HOOPS….and here is Crit ‘ The Greek’ Hippo’s NCAA College Basketball play o’ the day: Cal travels to NYC to play against Syracuse in the Gahden. Cal is favored by 1 1/2. Jim Boeheim tends to recruit some knuckleheads and punks, but they won’t be punk’d in this nationally televised game in their backyard. Syracuse should be in their customary 2-3 zone forcing Cal to bomb away from the perimeter. Cal was one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the nation last year and tonight they will have no problem taking the 3-ball, making them could be another story. Syracuse will constantly have a hand in the Cal shooters’ face and they will own the defensive glass. Cal will take their role of favorite and in typi-CAL fashion they will not get it done. Take Syracuse + 1 1/2.

Sunday November 15th in the National Football League - Let the Jockeying for playoff spots begin
November 15, 2009 by Crit Dahippo · Leave a Comment
Your consultants here at P4P went 5-3 yesterday in NCAA action. A day that should have ended with a 6-2 record were it not for a late and unimportant Cal score as they were trying to run out the clock against a bumbling Arizona Wildcats squad. Oh well, it’s water under the bridge and we can’t un-ring the bell, but we can offer you more FREE selections that will continue to sway the playing field in your direction and away from the house. With the first Thursday game of the year out of the way and still more teams having BYEs this week, we are looking at a very limited slate this weekend. There are, however, some excellent games out there with some clear money making opportunities.
Home Team In CAPS
Our Selection In Bold
Cincinnati Bengals +7 at PITTSBURGH STEELERS: 1pm EST - Leadership atop the division is at stake when these two rivals clash once again. The Bengals won the first match-up of the season and will look to have all tie-breaker advantages against the Steelers. The Steelers are playing great, like the champions they are, but Cincy has won 6 of the last 7 meetings. Pittsburgh should win, but not by more than a touchdown. Take the Bengals and the points.
New Orleans Saints -13 1/2 at ST. LOUIS RAMS: 1pm EST - It’s hard to tell who misses who more. Do the now defensively lifeless NY Giants miss former defensive coordinator and current Rams head Coach Steve Spagnuolo or is Spags kicking himself that he actually took the Rams job. Either way, Spagnuolo and the Rams will suffer an excruciating a$$ kicking today at the hands of another former Giant assistant, Sean ‘don’t call me Walter or Gary’ Payton. The Saints are explosive and fun to watch. The Rams will try to pressure Drew Brees with a variety of blitz packages, but that will only play right into the Saints game plan. Look for the Saints to crush St.Louis today in the Edward Jones Dome.
Dallas Cowboys -3 at GREEN BAY PACKERS: 4:15 pm EST - Aaron Rodgers, like he has all season, will be hit hard and often. The league leader in getting sacked, Rodgers will put forth an admirable effort, but it’s hard to get the ball down field to your receivers when you are constantly on your back. Dallas has gotten its’ swagger back, even if it is a bunch of false bravado. The Cowboys still are not a great team, but they do pressure the opposing QB consistently which will make for a long and painful day for Mr.Rodgers.
Philadelphia Eagles at SAN DIEGO CHARGERS: 4:15 pm EST - OVER 47 - Look for an aerial show that would make Don Coryell proud. Philip ‘Cry Me A’ Rivers will look to expose Philadelphia’s suspect secondary by throwing a lot to his group of big and physical receivers. Westbrook returns for Philly which should make McNabb’s play-action fakes much more effective and look for DeSean Jackson and rookie WR Jeremy Macklin to each make big plays today. This will be one of the most enjoyable and exciting offensive games of the NFL season.
Denver Broncos at WASHINGTON REDSKINS: 1pm EST - UNDER 36 1/2 - Everything written about the above game being an offensive aerial show and one of the most exciting games of this NFL season does NOT apply to this game. This will be one of the most boring and offensively inept games in the NFL this season and for that matter, maybe the last few seasons. This has all the makings of a 13-9 snooze fest.
New England Patriots at INDIANAPOLIS COLTS: 8:20 pm EST - OVER 48 - A few things you need to know before this game; neither team’s defense is as good as they’ve been in the past. Weather inside Lukas Oil Stadium will not be a factor and the two premier QBs in the NFL will put on a show tonight. As entertaining as San Diego vs.Philly will be, this game in Indianapolis will also be a great show to wrap up this Sunday’s NFL action.
As always, good luck, play wise, play smart, and play on player. Enjoy the day and make it a profitable one.
College Football Home Stretch - Bowls are at stake and P4P has your winners- absolutely FREE!!!!!
November 14, 2009 by Crit Dahippo · Leave a Comment
As we head down the home stretch of the college football regular season, we are finding some great value on the college lines. Many teams will be looking ahead with rivalry weekend not far away. Others will be fighting hard for bowl eligibility and some will be fighting to keep their coaches employed.
Here are P4Ps favorite college plays for Saturday, November 14th.
They are rated 1-8, with #1 being our favorite pick.
Our pick in BOLD:
Home team in CAPS:
#1) Arizona (+3) over CAL
Cal has thrown in the towel. They looked lifeless after losing Jahvid Best last weekend. Arizona controls its Rose Bowl destiny with QB Nick Foles throwing for over 300 yards per game.
#2) Tennessee (+6) over MISSISSIPPI
Monte Kiffin’s defense won’t be toting any guns this weekend but Lance’s Dad’s D will make all the difference here against a struggling Rebel offense. The Volunteers offense has improved enough to keep this within a touchdown and the elder Kiffin has made things much more difficult for offensive coordinators around the SEC. Despite being short a few felons (allegedly) this week, we still like Tennessee.
#3) OREGON STATE (-13 ½) over Washington
This is the time of year that the Beavers get hot. The line on this game has jumped 3 points this week and with good reason. Huskie QB Jake Locker will not be 100% in this game with an injured hamstring.
#4) OHIO STATE (-16) over Iowa
We seriously doubt that the Hawkeyes will find the end zone this week, missing their top running back and QB Stanzi. The Buckeye offense has come to life in the past 2 weeks. Iowa was undefeated for the first 7 weeks through a series of smoke and mirrors. They were exposed, at home, last Saturday and they will get blown out today.
#5) TCU (-20) over Utah
A huge revenge game for the Horny Frogs after losing to the Utes last year. The TCU defense has not allowed a team to score more than 18 points all year and Utah will be starting a true freshman QB.
#6) Stanford (+10 1/2) over USC
The Cardinal is one of the few teams that has shown success on USC’s home field in the past 5 years. We love getting 10+ points against a stagnat USC offense. Coach Harbaugh is solid and Stanford is a direct reflection.
#7) Michigan State @ PURDUE OVER 53
Neither team will have much success stopping the other. Both teams will reach the 30 point mark. This, along with the majority of the other Big 10 games jump right to the top of the list in the Tostiotos Who Gives a Rat’s A$$ Bowl. Lots of points is the only saving grace here.
#8) Notre Dame (+7) over PITTSBURGH
The Fighting Irish have not lost a game this year by more than 7 points. Look for them to fight hard for Chuck Weis’ job. Insert fat joke here; Charlie Weis is a winner. He wins when nobody else can, in fact, he’s the only living person to beat Gastric Bypass Surgery and actually gain weight wearing his UnderArmour gastric band……Every week we keep waiting for PITT to crumble like every Dave Wanstedt coached team, but apparently this group doesn’t see Wanstedt’s cheezy mustache as a sign of weakness or as a distraction. Don’t underestimate Wanstedt’s leadership and his ability to lead his team to an unlikely collapse at just the wrong time.
Picks4Players kicks off Thursday Night Football with FREE Pick!
November 12, 2009 by G$ · Leave a Comment
This is the first of many Thursday Night NFL games to come. Picks4players will have you covered every Thursday night with our patented “FREE” picks for your wagering pleasure.
Tonight’s matchup features the 4-4 Chicago Bears at the 3-5 San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers haven’t seen much prime time coverage lately so this game should make for a very fired up crowd in San Francisco. You better believe the 49ers will be playing with some extra emotion not only for their coach ex-Chicago Bear, “Samurai” Mike Singletary but this game is basically for the 49ers playoff lives. A loss put the 49ers in a hole that would be almost impossible to climb out of.
The 49ers tout the better defense and run game so tonight your team at Picks4Players highly recommend:
SAN FRANCISCO -3
