NFL Week 17, ……….and it all comes down to this.

Dear Players,
What a season it has been in the National Football League. Just when you think you’ve got everything dialed in, parity jumps up and bites you in the any given Sunday, if you know what I mean. Last weekend’s card was littered with favorites that were properly motivated and loaded with incentive to secure spots in the post season and they just didn’t cover. There were some great games on the card like the Giants and Panthers OT thriller, but Camp Coughlin, you’re killing us with your decision to assert your power game and run over the Panthers in OT rather than kick the chip shot field goal for the win, but the Carolina cover. While it will probably helped regain some of the G-Men swagger, it hurt some players out there. Speaking of that G-Men swagger, B. Jacobs you are the man, but the team’s efforts will fall short this post-season as a direct result of no Plaxico Burress. His ability to make big, clutch plays will be missed by the Giants at crucial times during the playoffs. Not to state the obvious about the 2008 World Champs, but they really shot themselves in the foot through Plaxico’s groin on this one.
Look for our Post Season Preview and our Season in Review postings over the next few days. Thanks for all of the support out there from the players in the crowd all season long. Let’s finish strong as we head into the real cash opportunities that are the NFL playoffs. Play wise, play smart, play on Player!!!
On with this week’s selections:
Here are our top picks for NFL week 17.
Chicago @ Houston, 1pm est
Current Line: Houston -3
Chicago will scoreboard watching and trying to keep their playoff hopes alive. This game should be close all the way to the wire.
Our Pick: Chicago +3
Dallas @ Philadelphia, 1pm est
Current Line: Philadelphia -1
This is a playoff game for both teams. Dallas has too much talent on both sides of the ball for the inconsistent Eagles. With Dallas only needing to win and Philly looking for help from everywhere, we think Dallas comes fully focused.
Our Pick: Dallas +1
Miami @ NY Jets, 4:15pm est
Current Line: New York -3
The Jets have not looked very good in recent weeks losing 3 of the last 4, while Miami is rolling winning 8 of the last 9. We see Miami winning this game outright and going to the playoffs.
Our Pick: Miami +3
Washington @ San Francisco, 4:15pm est
Current Line: San Francisco -3
Yes, this game means nothing but we see an opportunity to make a little cash. Washington has a winning record on the road while the 49ers have a losing record at home. The difference here is that Jason Campbell will not make mistakes.
Our Pick: Washington +3
Denver @ San Diego, 8:15pm est
Current Line: San Diego -9
These 2 teams know each other so well we just can’t understand the 9 point spread. Denver should be better defensively with Champ Bailey back and San Diego has one of the worst pass defenses in the league. This game will be a shootout but stay close all the way to the wire.
Our Pick: Denver +9
Other opportunities we see to make some caysh:
Totals:
Carolina-New Orleans: OVER 51
San Diego-Denver: OVER 50 1/2

NFL Week 16, What a weekend this will be
December 21, 2008 by Crit Dahippo · Leave a Comment
Here are our top picks for NFL week 16:
Miami @ Kansas City, 1pm est
Current Line: Miami -3½
Miami is getting better and better every week. Their defense has given up a total of 24 points in 3 games. Miami’s ground game will control the clock and the game in freezing cold Kansas City.
Our Pick: Miami -3½
Arizona @ New England, 1pm est
Current Line: New England -9
Arizona hates traveling East and to cold weather. They might also be without Anquan Boldin. This one won’t be close. The Pats are hungry while the Cardinals have clinched their position in the playoffs and are convincing themselves that they just need to get healthy for the playoffs. This will be a Patriot beat down against a mediocre football team that will have Patriot nation falsely confident in their squad heading into next weekend.
Our Pick: New England -9
New Orleans @ Detroit, 1pm est
Current Line: New Orleans -7
Not once this year have we had the Lions on our list of picks. Something tells us Detroit shows up this week in their final home game of the season.
Our Pick: Detroit +7
Philadelphia @ Washington, 4:15pm est
Current Line: Philadelphia -5
This is a very motivated Eagle team right now facing a less than stellar Redskin squad. Westbrook has a huge day in a route of the Redskins
Our Pick: Philadelphia -5
Carolina @ NY Giants
Current Line: NY Giants -3½
This is a beaten, battered and bruised Giant team. They are facing their 8th straight opponent with a winning record and we don’t think they have much left in the emotional gas tank. Carolina moves the ball up and down the field at will.
Our Pick: Carolina +3 1/2
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Holidays from your consultant team at www. Picks4Players.com
Picks4Players College Bowl Preview Post
December 21, 2008 by Crit Dahippo · Leave a Comment
COLLEGE BOWL SEASON, a peak inside some key match-ups:
Dec 20th - Las Vegas Bowl BYU - Arizona: The Line: Arizona - 3 1/2
The only reason worth watching this game is that both offenses are wide open. Arizona is looking to take a big step forward in their program's
development under Mike Stoops and a win here over BYU will punctuate the Wildcats season.
We see a lot of points in this one so think about taking the over and hope for points.
Our selection: Arizona -3.5
December 20th- St Petersburg Bowl, St. Pete, FLA
Memphis vs. South Florida: The Line S. Florida - 11 1/2
Don't let the comparable records fool you. Aside from this being a virtual home game
for the Bulls, South Florida is just a better squad. Look for them to roll over Memphis.
Our Selection: South Florida - 11 1/2
Dec 23rd - Poinsettia Bowl, San Diego, CA ESPN 8 pm EST TCU - Boise St.: The Line TCU -2 1/2 We are interested to see how TCU's defensive speed handles Boise's offense. Off of the blue carpet Boise State is usually very average.
Our selection: TCU Horned Frogs - 2 1/2 Dec 24th - Hawaii Bowl, Aloha Stadium, Honolulu, HI 8 pm EST ESPN Notre Dame - Hawaii The Line: Notre Dame - 1 1/2 We can't wait to see Notre Dame flop on the islands and watch Charlie Weis explain it to the ND alumni. Hawaii is always a different team at home,
and look for them to push the Sleepin' Irish all around the stadium.
Our selection: Hawaii +1 1/2 Dec 29th - Alamo Bowl, The Alamo Dome, San Antonio, TX 8 pm EST ESPN Northwestern - Missouri The Line: Mizzou -12 1/2 Another high flying offensive game with this game being played inside on carpet. Look for a ton of points but their will just be too much Daniel
to Macklin for Northwestern to handle. Look for Mizzou to run away with this one.
Our selection: Mizzou - 12 1/2 Dec. 30th - Holiday Bowl Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, CA 8 pm EST ESPN Oregon - Oklahoma St.: The Line: Oklahoma State - 3 This could be the most entertaining game of the bowl season. How good is the Big 12? This game will tell us a lot. Oregon has scrapped and battled
through injuries all season and this time off leading up to the game will
certainly help them heal. Our selection: Oregon +3 Jan 1st - Capitol One Bowl 1 pm EST ESPN Michigan St. - Georgia: The line:Georgia - 7 1/2 Here is your chance to see two of the top players in college football in Georgia QB Matt Stafford and Michigan St. RB Javon Ringer. Some people think Stafford will be the first QB taken in the NFL draft. This should be an entertaining first half, but look for the Dawgs
to pull away. Our selection: Georgia - 7 1/2
Jan 1st - Rose Bowl Penn St - USC: The Line USC -9 This is the best of the New Years Day bowl games. Are you really going to watch Cincinnati/Virginia Tech? This will be a serious smash mouth football game with 2 of the best defenses in college football.
Joe Pa got his 3 year contract extension that will keep him on the Penn St.
sidelines or in the booth upstairs until he turns 102 years old.
Our Selection: USC -9 Jan 2nd. - Cotton Bowl, Dallas, TX 2 pm EST ESPN Mississippi - Texas Tech: The Line Texas Tech -4 1/2 Mississippi seems to have the defense to handle these high flying spread offenses as they did a number on Florida in the Swamp earlier
in the season. However, look for the Texas Tech QB to have a huge day
following his not being included as a Heisman finalist.
Our pick; Texas Tech - 4 1/2 Jan 2nd - Sugar Bowl, SuperDome. New Orleans, LA 8:15 pm EST ESPN Utah - Alabama: The line: Alabama-9 1/2 How will a non-BCS team play on this large stage? Will Alabama have any interest being in this game? Look for Utah to hang tough for awhile,
before eventually succumbing to the Crimson Tide. Our pick: Utah + 9 1/2 Jan 5th - Fiesta Bowl, Univ. of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, AZ 8:15 pm EST, ESPN Ohio State - Texas: The line: Texas -8 How bad is the Big 10? This game will tell you all you need to know. Look
for Texas to put up big numbers on the Buckeyes who just won't be able to keep up
despite all of the prep time for Jim Tressel. Our selection: Texas -8 Jan 8th - BCS Championship Game, Dolphin Stadium, Miami, FLA 8:15 pm EST, FOX Florida - Oklahoma: The Line: Florida -3 Let's see....Oklahoma is missing their best RB in Murray, Sam Bradford has been on the Heisman banquet circuit. Tim Tebow wants to prove that he should have won the Heisman again. Plenty of motivation on the Florida side and this is practically a home game for the Gators.
As much as we've enjoyed the Sooners all season long, our pick is: Florida -3
This has been the www.Picks4Players.com Bowl Preview post. We hope that you've
found our information and opinions useful and profitable throughout the season.
Best of luck with your bowl selections and as we always urge, play wise, play smart,
but play on players!!!

RED HOT “FREE” WINNERS FOR NFL WEEK 15!!!
December 14, 2008 by Crit Dahippo · Leave a Comment
What a great time to be a football fan! For many teams these are playoff games. One loss in December can doom a season. We see some great spots to make some cash this week. All of us at Picks4Players are excited to give you our best plays for free!!!
Here are our top plays for Week 15:
San Francisco @ Miami Current Line: Miami -6
San Francisco is playing hard for Mike Singletary and if you listen to ESPN you would here about how Miami is just going to roll right into the playoffs. Not so fast. SF has won 3 of 4 and already beat Buffalo in an east coast matchup. This game will go down to the wire.
OUR PICK: SF +6
Pittsburgh @ Baltimore Current Line: Baltimore -2 1/2
This will be a hard hitting matchup of 2 great defensive teams. All you need to do is look at who has more experience at QB to figure out the winner. Pittsburgh’s defense will punish Joe Flacco all day and his inexperience will show.
OUR PICK: PITT +2 1/2
Minnesota @ Arizona Current Line: Arizona -3
Yes, Minnesota needs this game a lot more than Arizona but we just don’t have any faith in Tavaris Jackson running the show. Minnesota’s weak pass defense gets exposed again and we see game as being a blow out in the desert.
OUR PICK: Arizona -3
New York Giants @ Dallas Current Line: Dallas -3
When are the oddsmakers going to learn? The New York Football Giants are the best road team in the NFL over the past 2 seasons and with all the termoil in Dallas this week, how can the Cowboys come focused? Not only do we like the Giants to cover but we also like the money line as well.
OUR PICK: NY GIANTS +3 (take them on the money line for extra value)
OVER/UNDER SELECTION
Seattle @ St. Louis
OUR PICK: OVER 42

NFL Week 14- The push toward the finish line
December 7, 2008 by Crit Dahippo · Leave a Comment
Greetings one and all as we head into what is certain to be a rugged final month of the season. The quality teams will begin to emerge and separate from the pack. The hungry teams who are still fighting for their playoff lives will leave it all out on the field today and certain squads that appear to be in good shape will fold like a cheap tent. With all of that in mind, here are our top picks for NFL week 14 for you players out there. Play wise, play smart, and good luck.
Atlanta @ New Orleans, 1pm est
Current Line: New Orleans -3
This is a huge game for New Orleans. They need this to stay in the NFC race. Remember how they destroyed Green Bay at home 2 weeks ago. More of the same this time around. Matt Ryan’s first trip to the dome won’t be pleasant. Our Pick: New Orleans -3
Philadelphia @ New York Giants, 1pm est
Current Line: Giants -7
If Westbrook plays, this game will be close the entire way. The McNabb benching has seemed to spark the Eagles. The Burress shooting has been a distraction all week. Our Pick: Philadelphia +7
New England @ Seattle, 4:05pm est
Current Line: New England -6
New England hasn’t lost 2 games in a row in a long, long time. New England will pull away in the second half. Seattle has only one home win all year. Our Pick: New England -6
Dallas @ Pittsburgh, 4:15pm est
Current Line: Pittsburgh -3
No Marion Barber will spell doom for Dallas, being a one dimensional offense is not a good idea against the league’s top defense. Pittsburgh will wear down Dallas and pull away in the 4th quarter. Our Pick: Pittsburgh -3
More Winners for you to choose from:
Washington @ Baltimore, 8:15pm est
Our Pick: Baltimore -5½
OVER/UNDER Selections
Cincinnati @ Indianapolis, 1pm est: Our Pick: Over 41½
NY Jets @ San Francisco, 4:05pm est: Our Pick: Over 44½
Final College Football Saturday of 2008- What a ride it’s been
December 6, 2008 by Crit Dahippo · Leave a Comment
Look for our Bowl preview coming on December 19th?
Here are our selections from www.picks4players.com for this
final College Football Saturday.
Navy -11 over Army Navy rolled in last year's battle and not much has changed since last year. Navy will again set sail with another win over Army. USC -32 over UCLA UCLA's offense is just a bad as Notre Dame's. If USC scores 40 points they will cover, and yes they will score 40. Arizona St +10 1/2 over Arizona This series is always bizarre so take the points and hope for more of the same. Virginia Tech PK over Boston College Special teams will make the difference in what seems to be a low scoring game. Va Tech will make a few more plays to get the win and revenge from their early season matchup. Tulsa -12 over East Carolina ECU just doesn't have the offense to keep up in this game. Alabama +10 over Florida Remember when Ol' Miss gave Florida fits? More of the same in this game with 'Bama's defense making the going difficult on Tim Tebow and the Florida offense. Oklahoma -16 1/2 over Missouri Oklahoma completely shut down a very similar offense in Texas Tech. They will do the same to Missouri. Sam Bradford has a huge day in his final chance to impress the Heisman voters.
