NFL WEEK 13, The Drive for the Playoffs heats up

Carolina @ Green Bay, 1pm est

Current Line: Green Bay -3

Look for Green Bay to rebound after last Monday’s loss to the Saints.  When warm weather teams have to travel North at this time of year, they usually run into problems adjusting to the climate.  We expect Carolina to scuffle on the semi frozen tundra. Our Pick: Green Bay -3

 

New York Giants @ Washington, 1pm est

Current Line: Giants -3 ½

If you have been checking us every week, you know it pays to play the Giants on the road and this week is no exception.  A rainy day is expected in DC and we see the Giants ground game running all over the Redskin defense.  Emotions will be high as the Redskins pay tribute to their former teammate, Sean Taylor, who was shot and killed one year ago today.  Clinton Portis will carry the ball about 30 times to try to keep the Giants offense off the field, but in the second half look for the G-Men to impose a little Earth, Wind, and Fire at Fed-Ex Field and overcome the emotional Redskins. Our Pick: Giants -3 ½ 

 

Indianapolis @ Cleveland, 1pm est

Current Line: Indy -4 ½  

Simple put, Indy is rolling and Cleveland isn’t.  We just don’t see the Cleveland offense getting any spark from the return of Derek Anderson.  Cleveland is a terrible 1-5 at home this year while Indy is a stellar 4-2 on the road. Our Pick: Indy -4 ½ 

 

Atlanta @ San Diego, 4:05pm est

Current Line: San Diego -5

A 7-4 Atlanta team playing in one of the best divisions in the NFL going against a 4-7 San Diego team from the worst divisions in football and San Diego is favored.  Something is fishy here.  Michael Turner’s homecoming is a sweet one.  His performance will leave the rest of the league asking, LT who?  And for the record, I grew up watching the real deal, the crack smoking LT throughout his entire career, and LaDanian, you are no LT.  In fact, let’s just remove the T from your moniker and we’ll just refer to you as the Big L.  Now Big L, Son, go eat your soup. Our Pick: Atlanta +5
